Day 1 Highlights — English for Law Enforcement: American English Training of Trainers
ELTA Madagascar, with the support of the U.S. Embassy Madagascar, launched Day 1 of the American English Training of Trainers, a key step in strengthening English language instruction within police and gendarme academies across Madagascar.
English for Law Enforcement is a two-year program designed to support English language instructors working in police and gendarme academies. As the program reaches its final stage, the ultimate phase of training has now begun: the American English Training of Trainers.
This three-day training aims to prepare teachers to become trainers themselves, enabling them to share their knowledge, skills, and best practices with their peers. Through this cascade model, the program seeks to ensure a lasting impact on English language teaching within law enforcement institutions.
The training is implemented by ELTA Madagascar, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy Madagascar, and supported by ELTA trainers and facilitators, together with English Language Specialists and English Teaching Assistants.
This initiative marks an important step in ELTA Madagascar’s vision to strengthen the quality of English education in Madagascar—not only in schools, but also across government institutions.
